A Note on Nouns

In many instances I’ll use he, she, wife, daughter, and even the father in selfish father. Please note that these nouns are not meant to discourage other types of family units or to alienate anyone that would potentially find this blog helpful.  I’ve simply used these nouns as a reflection of my particular family unit and to avoid the laborious ways in which some folks choose not to write sex-based nouns.
